This is my first post to this RTI group. After years of trying to get info from various govt. agencies through the regular channels it seems there is no choice but to use RTI.
I had a few queries
a) The links to Posting Rules, Posting Content and lead to two mails - one on cross posting and the other on some fellow (DS GILL) being dumped off the list.
So was wondering if there were a collected guidelines some where
B. The next question pertains to RTI itself and the groups recommendations under the title
"Here's the "code" for "ethical" RTI-ers."
vi) To appreciate that the "Right to Information" ought not to be used
by patriotic citizens so as to obstruct the working of their
Government, or to victimise honest and efficient officers etc. by
allowing access to "file notings"
Am not sure what this means - why will trying to access file notings be obstructive ?? or victimise honest and efficient officers / government functionaries.
would appreciate yor thoughts
