Dear Lalit,
Why are you complaining ? If what you say is true, then Speedpost is ideal for RTI users - especially the misuers. The only thing we need is a physical Speedpost receipt showing a date / time. The law presumes that it will be delivered in 72 hours within Delhi / NCR.
Or use the CPIO route of IndiaPost. 5 days extra is allowed, no need for any extra speedpost charges - you just pay Rs.10 as the application fee, and I have always got a confirmation of onward transmission from IndiaPost within 5 - 6 days.

> I came to know from a friend that there is a 24X7 speedpost booking counter in Ghaziabad near Railway Station in Bazaria known as City Sorting Office counter. For an urgent letter to be sent to UP Public Service Commission, Allahabad, I visited this counter on 16th Feb at 10:30 pm. The person on the counter tells me that his working hours/ timings are over and computer is shut down and other person whose duty is there (10 pm to 8 am) is attending some marriage who will do booking manually and he will come around 12:30 am (mid night). I could not wait there for so long, therefore he ( the person present on the counter) took my letter and Rs 25/- as charges and said that my letter will be posted and I could collect receipt some other day. My letter was posted (speedpost) next day i.e. on 17 Feb at 11:00 hours
