Dear Sirs,
I am given to understand that a massive floating balloon (known as
'aerostat") carrying lighting equipment and also camera equipment for
Common Wealth Games has developed leaks.
In this connection, and for the safety of the residents nearby, (I
stay at Defence Colony barely 1 or 2 kms away), I request you to
kindly immediately enquire if there is any danger to people of Delhi.
It is pertinent that there is a substantial international black market
in a dangerous isotope of helium which is a byproduct of fusion
nuclear reactors. The radiation from this isotope
is virtually indetectable with conventional geiger counters.
Internationally only helium from natural sources may be used outside
controlled nuclear facilities. In any event helium is a toxic and
polluting gas in concentrated quantities and such leakage (which is a
matter of public knowledge) must be investigated forcefully.
I am also caused to suspect that to compensate for the lack of lifting
capacity caused by leakage of toxic helium into the atmosphere of
Delhi, that the organiser of the CWG events
will compensate by filing highly inflammable hydrogen into the
remaining compartments, since only hydrogen can compensate for this
now.
Kindly urgently inquire into my information and involve competent
agencies like BARC and NDMA since the GoNCTD was found wanting in the
Mayapuri nuclear incident. Kindly inform me within 24 hours of the
action taken.
Yours faithfully
Sarbajit Roy
