Mr Bhaskar Prabhu,
You had no need to ask the question.
Anyone could have guessed as to who was the IC who disagreed !
By the way, that resolution is only a cover up.

Dear All,How Central Information Commissioner a majority who are ex-bearuecrats used there cunning Inteligigence to bring in their own brother in by paaing this resolution by mahority said in minutes of Commission meeting held on 07-09-10. To this I did asked who was the Information Commissioner who disagreed for this resolution.( Mr. Wajahat was abstained from meeting) I first quote the resolution
Quote
"The members of the Central Information Commission place on record their deep appreciation of the services rendered by the CIC, Shri Wajahat Habibullah, who is due to demit office on 30.9.2010 on completion of his 5 –year‐ term. Shri Habibullah led and guided the Commission during its initial and difficult years, and helped the Commission contribute significantly to promote the right to information as well as transparency in governance.
The commissioners wish to reiterate and emphasize that the successor to Shri Habibullah should be found from within the Commission. If the Chief Information Commissioner were to be appointed from outside the Commission. it will not only run contrary to the healthy conventions established in such collegial bodies as the Supreme Court , CEC and UPSC , but will also be extremely demoralizing for those already serving the Commission with the exemplary dedication. It would also amount to uncritical acceptance of the loud clamour of certain vociferous interested groups, as rational wisdom.
In the interest of continuity, morale and the harmonious functioning of the Commission and the smooth and incremental evolution of the RTI regime in our country, it is necessary that the healthy convention of selecting the CIC from within the Commission be established and followed." Unquote
I received a information that it was only and only Shailesh Gandhi opposed this resolution saying he said only transparent process for selection of Commissioners must be adopted and he recorded his disagreement on resolution.
Hope all understand how the bureaucrats do a "coup" for getting the position and I assure if bureaucrats think that there will better position or post for them they may go do a such "coup" that we all will again be under some colonial rule.
Please know that bureaucrats have good strategy we have only a strategy of blammoing, telling he is good or bad, he is deaf, he is corrupt, he is inefficient etc other wise we don't have anything to tell , nor we have any person to recommend to be a CIC or we are not bold enough to recommend a person as CIC.

The Right to Information Act 2005, is the biggest fraud inflicted upon on the citizens since the Nehru-Gandhi family.

Dear Mr. Jam,
Let us not jam our heads, what ICs or bureaucrats have shown is that they will go to any extent to get the seat.
