Dear friends
Some of you are confused by posts from a new group called [RTI_India]{Gmail}
As the new moderator of RTI_India@yahoogroups is determined to prune
(aka "weed out") the membership there I have created a backup list of all
the members (ie. prior to weeding out) and am in the process of transferring
it to "googlegroups".
So now instead of posting to "rti_india@yahoogroups" you can ALTERNATIVELY post
to "rti_india@googlegroups" to reach everyone you used to (once you become a member
of the googlegroup).
Similarly, the ALTERNATIVE group's website is "http://groups.google.com/group/rti_india/"
instead of "http://groups.yahoo.com/group/rti_india/"
In short "yahoo" is to be simply substituted by "google" and "AshishKr" by "Sarbajit"
I stress that these groups are ALTERNATIVE (and mutually exclusive) to each other, as
the bulk of the membership is common at the present time, so we don't want double mails
to confuse matters. It is imperative that CrossPosting between these 2 groups is
minimized as these 2 groups shall be going in very different directions.
Furthermore, emails from the googlegroup are ending up in the SPAM folder of yahoo and
vice-versa. So you must repeatedly examine your spam folders and press the "NOT SPAM"
to teach the email giants to not treat our group postings as spam.
Lastly, there are about 50 members who don't allow their names to be added to mailing
lists or accept invites to join. If they and.or anyone else wants to join the Gmail list
(which BTW is already the biggest gmail RTI group and growing rapidly) visit
http://groups.google.com/group/rti_india/ and ask to join.
Queries / requests for clarifications to this post can be posted to either group.
Sarbajit
Moderator {Gmail/RTI_India}
