Dear friends, I found a good tool (Borrowers Registry) for small medium and large MFOs and MFIs. The MFBR-IPFM is organizing a one day program in this regard on 9th April 2011 at KKID-Karl Kubel Institute for Development Education, Coimbatore. I hope this will help millions of poor borrowers as well as MFIs. Please circulate this among all our friends for information and participation Best regards G.George CST Please follow the Link for more information …… From: MFBR-IPFM <info@mfbrindia.net> Dear sir / madam, Greetings from MFBR – Micro Finance Borrowers Registry. MFBR is a credit information bureau established in response to the Malegam Committee Report to RBI, wherein the committee had recommended, "An essential element in the prevention of multiple-lending and over-borrowing is the availability of information to the MFI of the existing outstanding loan of a potential borrower. This is not possible unless a Credit Information Bureau is established expeditiously". Click here to visit www.mfbrindia.net. Considering the volatile situation prevailing in the sector, MFBR web based registry has been introduced to act as a digital platform wherein all stake holders of the micro finance sector can have a level playing field and finally it should help achieve our common objective of making poor bankable and creating credit access to those who are in need. Those who want to participate in this national level registry, shall register their organisation online using the following link . There is a marginal cost which starts from Rs.1,000/- per annum for small MFIs and varies for big MFIs. An organisation can register online and start use the web portal . Meantime the payment should be done and a hard copy of the signed agreement has to be sent to the registry. http://www.mfbrindia.net/regi.aspx The registry is presently managed by IPFM Consultancy Services P Ltd, a NGO resource centre formally known as Accounts Training Institute. We welcome to have representation from the sector in our technical committee . IPFM has consultative status with UNDP, NISG-National Institute for Smart Government, NIRD- National Institute for Rural Development, e-Governance departments of many state governments and various INGOs and NGOs. MFIs can have their MIS needs addressed through this portal as it helps to capture all credit information of borrowers. It generates DCB-Demand, Collection and Balance statement, Ageing Analysis, PAR/PIA analysis, Overdue analysis, Loan given analysis and Member ledger account. For those who have a portfolio of more than Rs.10 crores, can also freely access Core Micro Finance Solution, a web based Micro finance MIS cum Accounting information on the web. Using cloud computing this could be possible for those who are looking for ideal MIS for your operations without any extra cost. MFBR branch at Ambattur, Chennai will support Tamilnadu clients. All others will be supported by our Bangalore Office at Madiwala . A one day orientation program for the registered users, is planned at KKID-Karl Kubel Institute for Development Education, Coimbatore on 9th April 2011 for this purpose . There is no accommodation provided and hence you have to plan your stay and travel. Medium of the session will be in English with facilitators fluent with Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. Hope to have your support and participation.
