One more point to add, de-regulation has now happened bur tax
rationalisation has not happened.

The denocractic govt. of India, and Indian states should not be
allowed to tax such an essential commodity to a larger extent.

Dr. Singh is right to advocate de-regulation of gasoline. Steps are
also needed to rationalise the Tax structure on petrol.
