That too being the President of Congress ( Congress always Says RTI its Contibution)A Leading Political Party (Political Parties accounts are open under RTI) Chair Person of UPA ( the Ruling Coalation) Member of Parliament (public servant /elected representative) Chairperson of NAC (once again NAC Attributes Ibntro of RTI to itself)
The latest first THE Times of india Report Sonia gandhi refused to provide the details of her Income tax returns of Past 10 years demanded by V Gopalakrishnan an RTI activist from Chennai . she Claimed that this info Submitted to IT office was Confidential and Disclosure of this would amount to unwarrented invasion of the Individiuals privacy She even cited Security reasons for not Furnishin the details
She Had earlier Refused to reveal her Religion Clainming it was a personnal Matter and need not be made public. this When the Govt has Rounteinly this Column in all its Forms. Her education Qualifications too atre closely gaurded secrets ( My comments Verfiable by her Election Forms)
When sonia Gandhi fell ill and went abroad alledgedly for treatment on govt expense information was denied that we must respect her privacy. The Media Played along in Reverential obidiance . if public money had been spent on her it was accounted for and citizens tax payers of the country have a right to know haw much and why the money was spent . ( My comment : Names of a doctor Who ought to be in the Hospital panel but Not Appearing and Who was in europe and Not in USA has been Mentioned. If the treatment she received abroad was not available in India etc.,
Some time ago a RTI had been raised gemanding to the forein Relatives who are staying with sonia gandhi in her official residence it was suppresed as an private issue ( Remember George fernandes When he was defence minister)
