Dear Mahesh
I request you to read my post again.
Nobody is saying (and definitely not I) that the Armed Forces should
be weak or underpowered or under equipped. In fact I swing to the
other extreme by saying that IF NECESSARY the Forces should be as OVER-
EQUIPPED (US Armed Forces) or lightly powered (Viet Cong) as it takes
to get the job done.
My grievance is about taking money out of the country on arms deals.
It is my case that white elephants (aka black holes) DRDO, BEML, BHEL,
BEL etc etc should be closed down as fast as possible.
If you go through my old posts on this group, I am openly advocating
compulsory conscription (2 -3 years like Israel Switzerland), guns for
everyone, Complete Biological weapons development program, enchanced
cyber war capability etc etc etc.
And let me tell you something Sir, Our Army is a "Col. Blimp" Army
completely unequipped with the skills necessary to fight modern day
wars against an enemy like China, Brazil, Russia etc.

They got blasted through an unexpected Tsunami. Other well to do countries quickly modified their plans to handle their own nuclear plants. Suddenly costs lost all concerns and the safety and security of their people became the prime concern.
