Re: [HumJanenge] Break the law and become hero

Mr. Venkatraman, why u were silent so far when the DISCOMS were harassing and looting public and why u have not told a way out then or not telling now.  Even, Gandhi ji had to break law while he took Dandi March, started non-corporation movement and other crusade.  To write on facebook and criticise while sitting in chair is much easier than undertaking some cause on streets. Can a poor labourer fight court cases and the govt. as well as companies refuse to listen to his voice.

Dear N.S.Venkataraman,

With respect to the mail below, you have forwarded to the group, can you please describe gandhi's Salt satyagraha or noncooperation movement? It was a crime too as per your theology. They should have issued petitions in courts, elected to the parliament, (which was less then puppet) and wait for a justice. (You know indian justice it is very very fast and you get justice instantly within one hour).

Please can you mention the steps entailed by Congress for the bringing the swiss accounts money to india? What a common man can do for improving his life? I never heard your comment when there was the telecom fraud or the coal scam or the latest Vadra- DLF scam? You liked it? Or you were protesting against it?

May I know what the govt. of Delhi has done, even when there are water bills of 9000-14000 rs are issued to people who have no water connections or they are just an old couple? And such news has being on the media for a long time approx. 15 days?

Ok Mr. NSV, please entail details what you can do or did for the same? It is wise to sit in Chennai and only shout about such activities. But best part of hypocracy is that people instead of doing anything revolutionary or useful. They throw dirt at the person who has taken the initiatives. It is shame, that instead of asking why there is no comments or redressal from Shiela Dixit in time, people are asking why you are taking law in your hands? And that too, sitting somewhere away.

If you disliked the nature of the action did by Mr. Kejriwal, please go to delhi, ask people, tell them about their rights in democracy, help those thousands odds to file for the consumer complaints and wait there for the resolutions. Only then probably you can throw the dirt at the person who has opted for the revolutionary way.

It is good to hate a person, but can you provide the alternate solution to the problem, he is already solving? If yes, you have the right to criticize, if No, please try to support him as the goal achievement is our final aim.

The only thing that is left in the common man's hands is a vote, which by devious means are collected, rigged or bought. In democracy, even the "poor" man who cannot afford food has the right to give birth to 10 kids, who end up being in different odd jobs and a vote bank to the such political parties. So technically such "poor people" morally and intellectually elect the government. Hence "those who have something" (lesser kids) have to fight whatever they have from the harami government, which is in fundamental nature is in process of scheming money from the middle class people. Revolution against corruption have/is/will be always from the people who have something. It is never from the people who doesnt have anything as they have nearly nothing to lose.

Regards,
Mr. Hemant K

Sir,
It is sad  to see the headline news in several newspapers and TV media  terming Kejriwal restoring snapped power in Delhi as an act of satyagraha.. It is an insult to Gandhiji's concept of satyagraha.
This appears to be a political showmanship by Kejriwal and the media is obliging him for whatever reasons.  If the objective were to force the Delhi government to roll back power and water tariffs, it should be made an election issue and  the Delhi government should be unseated democratically.
Encouragement to law breaking activity will lead to chaos and anarchy.  The media  should be more circumspect  and refrain from encouraging such law breaking activities.
If it is viewed  that such law breaking activity is satyagraha and media want to project such acts, then media will not have enough space ,  since hundreds of such acts are happening in this country every day.  One should not be allowed to become a national hero simply by breaking law.
Further, if the social activists would like to defeat corruption and ensure fair governance, they should keep in mind Mahatama Gandhi's philosophy that means should justify the ends. Creating law and order situation in the name of fighting for public cause will be proved to be counter productive and against the national interest.
Thanks
