Re: [IAC#RG] Appointment of new CAG challenged in SC

your point on identity of person filing petition is noted, and is important.

The ad hominem attacks detract from our credibility and should be avoided as far as possible, in my opinion. If the objection makes sense, the identity of the person making it should not be an issue, or the method they use, unless the method is illegal.

Dear IAC members / patriotic friends on other channels

The appointment of the new CAG has been challenged in the Supreme Court a few hours back by Advocate Manoharlal Sharma (the original Petitioner in COALGATE). After mentioning before the Vacation Bench today it was directed the PIL be listed to be taken up on 01.07.2013 the moment the court resumes after summer vacations.

Although the petition has been filed by Adv. Sharma, the mainstream media channels like CNN are blanking out his name to imply it is filed by Prashant Bhushan (whose Aam Aadmi Party is the B-team of Congress Party) who left IAC under circumstances which are too well known to repeat.

The Writ (a copy of which is with the IAC), highlights important questions of law and essentially seeks parity for appointing CAGs with the appointment of the Supreme Court judges in terms of Arts 142 and 148-151 etc.

IAC fully expects proxies like Prashant Bhushan to file more copycat Petitions on behalf of Congress Party (like was done in CoalGate using dummies like Common Cause and the usual clutch of by now professional Congi PILers and retired anti-nationals like Magsaysay awardee Admiral Ramdas, Admiral Tahiliani, CEC Gopalswami etc.).
