Hi Naishadh
Gr8 to have you back to discuss this from national perspective.
1) Nobody holds a brief for Jashodabehn specifically. This ought to
have remained their family matter and been sorted out as such. There
is still time.
2) It is not correct to say the marriage and desertion is original
research. Its been widely known in media ever since Namo was
parachuted into Gujarat from BJP HQ after back-stabbing Keshubhai in
2001-02. I'm sure you recall the name of journalist Darshan Desai who
brought it to national media knowledge in 2002. Anyway, we both know
the dishonest reason why she is being hidden away, the "sex appeal"
factor. Same way that another BJP icon - Dharam-paaji hid Prakash.
3) The basic questions - outside of Gujarat- are:
a) Is Modi a political party in his own right?
b) Is Modi something other than BJP ?
c) Is BJP something other than Modi ?
4) With the BJP failing to provide an exit strategy / role for its
"veteran" leaders, needing the "Young Turks" strategy having to be
deployed, we shall all have to see how it all plays out ultimately.
Karnataka may have been an exceptional case of BJP mismanagement and
corruption, but nonetheless what was projected as a 2:1 drubbing
became a 3:1 drubbing after Modi campaigned in the state.
5) And while it may well be true that projecting NaMo is good for the
BJP (sub-optimisation), it is also definitely causing polarisation
leading to significant floating anti-Congress votes getting converted
into anti-Namo votes.
6) "Namo for PM" will get BJP perhaps 20-30 seats more than
projecting, say, Sushma Swaraj, but it will also result in an extra
80-90 seats going out from an eventual BJP/NDA coalition - as these
seats are being lost from BJP allies / erstwhile BJP ruled states..
7) I think Menaka Gandhi and her son (Sanjay's son) are much better
examples of "Hindu Succession Act" in Gandhi parivaar, so it remains
to be answered why if BJP can take "Special" care of deserted
"secular" Gandhi bahus, they can't do so for wife of its own
supposedly "Hindu" pracharak CM :-)

Again, nice to have you back.

Are you a self-appointed advocate of Jasodaben, fighting pro bono without any public cause? Why waste your keystrokes and energy where you ultimately csn seek no relief? Are you seeking restitution of conjugal right or compensation for the victim? No. You're not. You can not. Full stop. Enjoy the TRP you are generating- positive or otherwise. Sonia mem is much better on domestic count than Namo, having survived conjugal rights till the party to contract survived! Though Hindu marriage Act not applicable to the contract. Research Olof Palme to link why two PM suddenly departed. Enjoy.
