involving violation of Official Secret Act CBI complaint against
Reliance Industries and three of its top officials including group
president, V. Balasubramaniam, under the Official Secrets Act and
issued summons to them. Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's direction came
on the complaint filed by the CBI after recovering four sensitive
documents pertaining to internal decisions of the Cabinet from a
Reliance office in October 1998 while investigating the Romesh Sharma
case. The CBI claimed the secret documents were recovered from a
"locked office table drawer" of the group's office located at a
five-star hotel here, which could help the industrial group in its
business. Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani and Managing Director Anil
Ambani, who were issued fresh summonses on a later date. The agency
alleged that the said documents were "crucial to the company's
business interest" and they were "used" by them. The CBI has charged
Reliance and its officials under Sections 5(4) and 5(2) of the
Official Secrets Act and section 120-B (Criminal Conspiracy) of the
IPC for allegedly possessing secret Cabinet papers.
One needs to carefully examine whether or not the 11
Exhibits/documents which AAP has shared as evidence against Nitin
Gadkari are sufficient for Kejriwal to put himself behind the bar. The

Were "activists" writing these news reports or journalists?
Every journalist/citizen who holds public interest dear to head and
heart is an activist as well. Creating a binary between activists and
journalists may not either the former or the latter.
As to AAP, I heard a very old Congressmen who happens to be a SC
lawyer but deeply disappointed at Rahul's performance telling a AAP
leader in the corridors of the court "why are you defensive...we have
committed such blunders but have you seen us being defensive...you are
not a party yet so why don't u tell people that movement is in the
process of turning into a party...registration of party does not mean
formation party on the ground..." AAP is not a party yet, its promised
systems and processes are yet to take shape.
