Dear Sh Sarabjitji, Formatting is difficult on mobile phone. Seen on Tablet/PC etc the form goes haywire. So much for formatting issue. You've as much freedom to stick to guns as any one else. I'm surely proud of my solid knowledge, and need no one's certificate for it.I needn't flaunt anything. Never done so. And don't believe in it. I Can't be proven wrong by the self-conceited ignorant ones, arrogating to themselves superior knowledge,w/o any basis. I don't believe in war of words as well. Let's honourably agree to disagree on this,or any other point. Of all people,I never thought you,Sh Sarjitji would find Truth really unplatable. I respect NGOs greatly. Have been connected with pretty large nuimbers;those going great guns. But there is scope for scrutiny in certain cases. Not all need to be painted with same brush. Yes,during my own personal detailed enquiries, conducted in official capacity, have I come across gross abuse of foreign funding by certain NGOs,and there was commensurate follow-up action as well. I'm through with literature on this subject more than any one could possibly think of. I'm still prepared to learn more. I'm not on the same page as many(like you, Mr Sarabjit) on the possible/actual utility of RTI Act;specially sec 4.No one can(and should)shut out a candid opinion about the need for transparency in the functioning of foreign-funded NGOs.The jury is still not out on the subject.Yes,Sec 4 can add to transparency,if implemented in letter and spirit. Dear Sh Sarabjitji,I'm taking your critical comments in the stride, specially on account of my belief that your core "nationalistic spirit"--not the language on the forum--has some merit. Going to be busy soon with some very critical work,as also post-doctoral research work,I'll find it difficult to continue to be part of your great endeavour, beginning next month. Will sign off, wishing all the esteemed members the very best in life.spm
