CIC to file case against abusive appellant :: MSN
New Delhi, Sep 1 (PTI) The Central Information Commission has decided
to file a case against an appellant who used defamatory language
against an Information Commissioner during a hearing.
The Commission in its internal meetings decided to file a case before
the appropriate court of law in view of defamatory expression used
against one of the Information Commissioners by an appellant.
The case is related to Information Commissioner A N Tiwari. An
appellant became abusive during hearing and also in his post-hearing
communication.
"We have served a notice to the person. The person became very abusive
during the hearing, so we have decided to file a case against him,"
Chief Information Commissioner Wajahat Habibullah said.
