I Found this in Yesterdays The New indian express - letters to The editor Column
Sir ,
" not Giving in under RTI Cost exregistrar Rs10K (TNIEoct27) , if not giving information under RTI act within the set time is incorrect and one has to pay Rs10000 as penalty imposed by KIC the how come two officers faced Suspension , thattoo for giving informationunder RTI Act promptly? The reason cited was that they had not taken permission from the Head of The department before passing the authenticated information > When the query is directed at the Head of the department itself, how does it help to ask his permission to give oput information? it beats the basic purpose of the Act -- PC Rao, Bangalore
ANY COMMENTS?
