sir, the SC/HC judges who really matters to real powerful politicians are not appointed by the govt. but the president on advise of collegium and the few powerful politicians( we all know them). its give and take all the way. they all know that once appointed a judge he/she cannot be removed even by the appointing authority. its like creating a monster.  They all do not  care what rajya sabha or law commission recommends.  its all drama to entertain the people of this great country. The discipline and fear is enforced by swift punishment, and not by so called democratic bhashan and action.  if a minister tell lies in parliament and no one can do any thing about the false statement, then its nothing but making fool of people. so just enjoy the democracy.  rgds. beniwal

A committee of Rajya Sabha has already recommended that Hc judges must be selected through a written test. But the Political motives can't be achieved though any transparent system. Here lies the central Problem with Indian Judiciary and Politicians combine.
