Sir,

MAKE WILD ALLEGATIONS AND GET  T V  SPACE

                                                  - LET THE ANTI CORRUPTION MOVEMENT GO TO DOGS

The Indian television media has an insatiable appetite for scandals and rape stories.  If anyone want to get prime time space, he has to be a part of these in one form or the other.

There are hundreds of good and positive things that  are happening  every day  in this country of  1100 million people. But, they do not generate interest in our  TV anchor persons.  There are good scientists making discoveries,  writers coming out with   innovative articles and  novels, differently abled persons living and performing with enormous grit and honest people working in farms and factories to produce goods and services at optimum costs but TV space is not for them.

The so called activists with Gandhi cap or without , now know the trick and understand the visual media's needs. They respond  to the expectations of the TV crew with great speed with half investigated allegations , picking persons for abusing them one after the other.   By making  unsubstantiated allegations and getting away with it and not adopting the process of law to prove the charges, the so called activists will make mockery of the law and judiciary and in the process destabilize the political scenario. But, obviously, they  lack the wisdom to be concerned about such eventuality..

In  the days to come, the country will see more and more such wild allegations with the media catching them as break stories outdoing each other. In the process, the so called activists who were unknown yesterday become known every where and achieve their objectives in very quick time.

The most happy people in this scenario would be the corrupt politicians , bureaucrats and business men, who would know that in the next few days, the entire credibility of the anti corruption movement in the country would be eroded,.

Now , the problem for these so called activists is how to hold on to their space they got.  They have to make more wild allegations and the competition would be very severe.  Therefore, they have to become more skilful and adopt more innovative ways to outdo the competition .  The TV media awaits their next action with  bated breadth.

As the anti corruption movement goes under the control of  such people , the corrupt persons will have the last laugh.  It would be a sad day for the country.

 Thanks
