Greetings

If you have received this email, it means that you were subscribed to an India Against Corruption ("IAC") mailing list as on 20/Dec/2012 - and especially the primary [IAC++] mailing list "iac@lists.risup.net".

Please read this email carefully.
Do not reply to it unless you want to be unsubscribed from all IAC's lists.

The purpose of this email is to structure your future association with the IAC and to enable you to leave the IAC in a smooth and orderly manner if you so desire.

Background: On 26.Dec. 2012 certain forces (previously with IAC) orchestrated a series of complaints to the Riseup eco-system to get the [IAC++] primary list temporarily deactivated.  They took advantage of the "spike" in emails to that list expressing outrage against the Delhi gang-rape and against their volunteers/party workers. On 26/12/2012 the [IAC++] list had 27,213 registered subscribers when it got deactivated briefly.

Subsequently IAC's techs have gone through that list to weed out identifiable disruptive elements. IAC has also segregated the list subscribers into Media / Defence / RTI activists etc. To minimise "spam" and "list abuse" emails, IAC has attempted to segregate email IDs to specific email IAC "initiative" lists and has subscribed them to specific mailing lists as follows.

1) [IAC-media] for journalists and media persons  This is a restricted low traffic list
2) [Hrarmy] for Defence, IESMs, Policing and National Security issues moderated by volunteers of Hindustan Republican Army. This is a restricted low traffic list
3) [IAC++] a free for all discussion list, moderated by Er. Sarbajit Roy (of Humjanenge for the IAC movement) and other RTI activists for any IAC subscriber to discuss corruption related issues.
4) [Indiaresists] for citizens direct action going much beyond armchair activism.

It is further clarified that IAC is now a movement in the revolutionary secular socialist and patriotic ideology, Constitution and tradition of the legendary Hindustan Republican Association which secured Independence for India from foreign rule.

IAC has no High Command and has no Central leaders.

IAC is not a political party. All primary members or adherents of any political party are requested to unsubsubscribe / disassociate from IAC immediately.

Dual membership of IAC and Arvind Kejriwal's "Aam Aadmi Party" is not permitted.

Dual membership of IAC and Anna Hazare's
"Bhrastachar Virodhi Jan Andolan (BVJA)" is not permitted.

To unsubscribe from ALL IAC lists
A) Reply to this email clearly saying that you wish to unsubscribe.
(If you are a rediffmail or yahoo.co.in subscriber use the option below)

To organise your membership of IAC lists
A) Send an email to "iac.techs@gmail.com" clearly explaining in brief what you want to be done.

With IAC's best wishes for 2013

National Cyber-media Coordinator,
