Today, no one believes any political party in India,  when they claim that they collect funds for the party only by cheque and without adopting coercive methods.  Everyone knows that the truth is otherwise.

While many political parties collect funds without much publicity adopting all sorts of methods, Aam Aadmi party is one exception which collects funds  by advertising  and high publicity campaign. Anyone , who understand the low  ethical standards of political parties  in the country, would tend to think that Aam aadmi party is only trying to create " holier than thou" image for itself. The immediate thought that comes to one's mind is as to whether any intelligent and informed person will spend as much as Rs.20,000  to have high tea with Kejriwal and Somnath Bharti, without expecting something in return.

Certainly, hearing the talk by Kejriwal and Somnath Bharti  during such high tea occasion would not be worth Rs. 20,000.  Further, those in the middle and lower income group cannot afford this sum. Obviously, AAP is expecting some business men  to respond to this invitation , who do nothing unless they would be assured of a return.

When AAP claims that several crores of rupees have been collected by way of donation and entry fees for high tea party in a short period, it creates curiosity and perhaps, many people would think that it calls for detailed investigation by the authorities .  Whistle blowers and watchdogs who correctly think that the claims of honesty for what may be a dishonest act should be discouraged,  should also take special interest in such investigation.

The students of Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT M) made a show of themselves  by kissing each other in front of camera ; boy&boy, girl&girl, boy&girl.  The print and television media appear to be highly pleased to show the scene , that would perhaps help them in increasing the circulation /viewership.  Who cares ?
The above behaviour of the students of IIT M wiped out in one stroke the  fair image of IITs , shocking many people who thought that IIT students are the brightest of the bright in the country, capable of  maintaining  lofty standards in behaviour. The government of India has been spending crores of rupees of tax payer's  money in supporting the education of these so called elite students, , expecting that most of them would ultimately turn up as high class engineers and technologists contributing to the social and economic growth of the country. The expectation has been that these students will  be  trend setters in the building up of new and progressive India and certainly not part of kissing parade.
These misguided students say that they have been indulging in kissing scenario in support of the liberal life style, whatever it may mean.  It has not occurred to them that such uncultured and ugly behaviour will go down as a new low in  public behaviour in the country.
One wonders what has the Director of IIT M been doing and how did he permit this, particularly when it has happened in the campus ? What is the responsibility of the Director and the professors  in ensuring discipline and meeting the expectations of the country men about the standards of the students and culture in IITs.
Unfortunately, IIT Madras has been in the news for all wrong reasons in recent times. The professors of IIT M went on dharna some time back demanding higher wages ;  suicide amongst students have been happening in the hostels too frequently.
It is high time that the government of India should order an enquiry  into the affairs of IIT M , with particular reference to the above ugly behaviour of the students and the silence of the Director and professors.

Mr SLRao,  is aware surely that Freedom must not  / can not / ought not be against the accepted norms of our society. Even in Western/ occidental societies like USA especially the Southern states, PDA  i.e.. PublicDisplay of Affection is abhorred. Any deviant behavior is gross behavior. It becomes more painful if best section of society like IITians feel gross behavior in public is indicative of freedom of thought.

Gentlemen, I am an Investment Banker and a product of Indian Institute of Management and passed out in 1987. Not sure why I am on this mailing list but nonetheless....

I am amazed at the responses including the latest one commenting on parents and families..its a free country and our youngsters who are clear leaders in many fields incl e-comm – they raised more FDI than many of the conservative stalwarts and as a group.. We want to control their social behaviour..

Why don’t yu all get together and fight the obscurantist forces which have an obsolete construct of Indian Society- remember we are the most corrupt and admittedly dirtiest nation.. Take your holier than thou attitude first to domain of honesty, probity and cleanliness before castigating our future..our youngsters.

All power to the groups which are rightfully showing moral courage to face the onslaught of religious and social groups which are trying to gain relevance in the backdrop of religious fundamentalism.

MY request... Leave our new generation alone and atone for our sins for creating a corrupt India....

(2) People littering
(3) People employing children for household works,when they should be going to school.

We do not need a monitor for the classroom, who is teachers pet, because it is not classroom. There are more disgusting things other than people expressing themselves, concentrate on them and respect other people and their freedom.

                                                                                   DISGUSTING  BEHAVIOUR  OF  IIT M STUDENTS

The students of Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT M) made a show of themselves  by kissing each other in front of camera ; boy&boy, girl&girl, boy&girl.  The print and television media appear to be highly pleased to show the scene , that would perhaps help them in increasing the circulation /viewership.  Who cares ?

The above behaviour of the students of IIT M wiped out in one stroke the  fair image of IITs , shocking many people who thought that IIT students are the brightest of the bright in the country, capable of  maintaining  lofty standards in behaviour. The government of India has been spending crores of rupees of tax payer's  money in supporting the education of these so called elite students, , expecting that most of them would ultimately turn up as high class engineers and technologists contributing to the social and economic growth of the country. The expectation has been that these students will  be  trend setters in the building up of new and progressive India and certainly not part of kissing parade.

These misguided students say that they have been indulging in kissing scenario in support of the liberal life style, whatever it may mean.  It has not occurred to them that such uncultured and ugly behaviour will go down as a new low in  public behaviour in the country.

One wonders what has the Director of IIT M been doing and how did he permit this, particularly when it has happened in the campus ? What is the responsibility of the Director and the professors  in ensuring discipline and meeting the expectations of the country men about the standards of the students and culture in IITs.

Unfortunately, IIT Madras has been in the news for all wrong reasons in recent times. The professors of IIT M went on dharna some time back demanding higher wages ;  suicide amongst students have been happening in the hostels too frequently.

It is high time that the government of India should order an enquiry  into the affairs of IIT M , with particular reference to the above ugly behaviour of the students and the silence of the Director and professors.

नई दिल्ली। नरेन्द्र मोदी के नेतृत्व वाली एनडीए सरकार ने भारत में मौजूद ऑनलाइन कंटेंट को साफ करने का बीड़ा उठाया है। सरकार का इरादा पोर्न वेबसाइटों की सूची तैयार करना और इंटरनेट सर्विस प्रोवाइडर्स को उन वेबसाइटों को ब्लॉक करने के लिए कहना है। 

बड़े पैमाने पर हो रही ब्लॉकिंग के चलते इंटरनेट की गति धीमी हो जाती है। इस समस्या के समाधान के लिए इंटरनेट सर्विस प्रोवाइडर्स को उनका सिस्टम अपग्रेड करने के लिए कहा जाएगा। सरकार ने इंटनेट और मोबाइल एसोसिएशन ऑफ इंडिया को सूची बनाने को कहा है। दूरसंचार एवं आईटी मंत्री रविशंकर प्रसाद का कहना है कि अन्य देशों में पोर्न वैध है लेकिन इसे भारतीय संस्कृति के परिप्रेक्ष्य और समाज केप्रति नैतिक बाध्यताओं के रूप में देखे जाने की जरूरत है। 

भाजपा ने सरकार के इस कदम का पूरा समर्थन किया है। भाजपा की आईटी सेल के प्रमुख अरविंद गुप्ता ने एक वेबसाइट से बातचीत में कहा कि पोर्नोग्राफी देश की सांस्कृतिक मूल्यों के खिलाफ है। इस तरह के कंटेंट को ब्लॉक आउट करने के लिए समाधान की जरूरत है। पोर्न वेबसाइटों को बंद करवाना सरकार के लिए काफी मुश्किल टास्क होगा। इंडियन कंप्यूटर इमरजेंसी रेस्पांस टीम के अनुमान के मुताबिक दुनियाभर में 40 मिलियन पोर्न वेबसाइटें हैं। इनमें से ज्यादातर भारत के बाहर से चलती हैं। 

गौरतलब है कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट भी पेशे से वकील कमलेश वासवानी की याचिका पर सुनवाई कर रहा है जिसमें अदालत से पोर्न वेबसाइटों पर प्रतिबंध लगाने की मांग की गई है। वासवानी की दलील है कि पोर्न वेबसाइटों की वजह से महिलाओं से रेप,शोषण और प्रताड़ना जैसी गतिविधियों बढ़ रही है। 29 अगस्त को पिछली सुनवाई के दौरान केन्द्र सरकार ने कहा था कि पोर्न को फिल्टर करना प्रायोगिक नहीं है।

Yes. Action should be taken against the culprit including students who are the mastermind of this hasty incident, Director and Professors of IIT M.  It may be extended to other IITs if it is not stopped right now.

If the culture of the IITs going through this way, we will not send our children to IITs in future.
