Dear Sir,
Please note that the NGOs have been established as a business. They will earn money. Yes, they say that their aim for the business to do some social work (based on YOUR donations). They have to maintain their organization in top form and hence their (internal) pay structire has to be worthy for that> All that it gets are donations and so that is the story. Please note that NGOs (for social obligations) is a basic requirement of Capitalism form of Economics policy. And accordingly this business form also originated in America and has shown its appearance in Bhaarat in recent period only.
If you refer to a recent issue (13 Jun 2011) of TIME newsmagazine (based on Cancer). There is an article about NGOs established for assistance to Cancer Research. They have illustrated examples of some NGOs collecting millions of dollars. In an year some have spent on research, hardly a few thousand dollars only, since nothing was remaining after their own expenses. TIME had warned to people not to donate to such NGOs.
Actually सामाजिक सेवा is not unknown to Bhaarateey people. Rather our culture tells us that helping people is a form of worshiping God. As an example, I am attaching the details published in a newspaper about a Social work being done by one of Ashrams in Vrindavan. I am attaching the news to acquaint you with the forms of our Social works activities. Nobody needs to cheat anyone else and donate that money to such Social organizations. The cheated money surely will not help our lofty cause, isn't it? Such money is considered as tainted one and hence is not useful for any good cause.
