Hello friends Good suggestions if implemented will effectively stop this menace. May I put the suggestions: 1) there should be clear cut time-frame for investigation, trial and conviction. 2) I the case of MPs and MLAs or any of the elected bodies including even to local bodies 'time-frame' should be adhered.
3) Frivolous complaints if proved in trial should atract severe punishments as a safeguard against misuse of a statute meant for antisocials. 4) All escorts or security arrangements to retired personnels should be withdrwan with immdiate effect. VIP security needs to be curtailed. 5) A detailed study should be made about the nature of governance and establishment of law and order in Mody state - Gujarat which has earned a position of excellence in the administrative realm. Political parties as a class should not be rejected as such but proven charectors should be singled out and apreciated. 6) A quick justice delivery machanism is vital for good governance and rule of law. 7) Retired judges should not be accomadated in any of the bodies where the appointing authority is the executive/government of the time. it is really great to see great luminaries of the armed forces are coming out in support of the cause. I wish the powers that be take note of the anguish and the concern of the enlightened highly respected service heads are also up and protesting in public. Hope you will influence other former chiefs of all three services to come out publicly and not be silent on this issue, to force the government to relent and accept rational ways of respecting public anguish. - Fast courts to deal with crimes against women.
