Re: [HumJanenge] Break the law and become hero

with due respect to all, there are no more those type of  people who understood gandhis style of peaceful message. presently most who matter are arrogant. lets not forget all most all national heros have broken the law including those so called freedom fighters. one has to speak a language in which the other (human/animal/plants) understand. rgds. beniwal

Sir,
It is sad  to see the headline news in several newspapers and TV media  terming Kejriwal restoring snapped power in Delhi as an act of satyagraha.. It is an insult to Gandhiji's concept of satyagraha.
This appears to be a political showmanship by Kejriwal and the media is obliging him for whatever reasons.  If the objective were to force the Delhi government to roll back power and water tariffs, it should be made an election issue and  the Delhi government should be unseated democratically.
Encouragement to law breaking activity will lead to chaos and anarchy.  The media  should be more circumspect  and refrain from encouraging such law breaking activities.
If it is viewed  that such law breaking activity is satyagraha and media want to project such acts, then media will not have enough space ,  since hundreds of such acts are happening in this country every day.  One should not be allowed to become a national hero simply by breaking law.
Further, if the social activists would like to defeat corruption and ensure fair governance, they should keep in mind Mahatama Gandhi's philosophy that means should justify the ends. Creating law and order situation in the name of fighting for public cause will be proved to be counter productive and against the national interest.
Thanks
