Dear Sir,

Mr. Sailesh Gandhi. former Central Information Commissioner sent the following message to me on the captioned subject matter.

The Punjab Government and Chandigarh Administration have already made the similar policy. There is a little error in the Haryana Government Policy as the Punjab & Haryana CWP 832 is of the year 2010 and not of 2011 as mentioned in the Haryana Government Policy.

I join in his Chorus rhetorically that every activist should take up this matter in his own state so that such a policy is uniformally applicable in all states pan-India. Any assistance required in this direction shall be very kindly extended .

The judgement of P&HHC in CWP-832 of 2010 is attached.

I think this is a very good step and my congratulations to the Haryana Government, Shri H.C.Arora and all the activists there.

I will try to persuade the Maharashtra Government and hope other activists will persuade various State Governments to take similar measures

Vide Notification No. 01/06/2010-3HG-IV of 06 November 2011, Haryana Government had notified the "Policy for Providing Security to Whistle Blowers/Right To Information Activists/Complainants and Witnesses in Serious Cases" in view od the CWP 832 of 2011 of Punjab and Haryana High Court.

The policy has been uploaded on the website of the Haryana Government.
