[IAC++] Protest against some sections of IT Act [Fwd: Re: [anonymousindia] Fw: Rise Against Censorship]

Friends,

Free Software Movement of India[1], gave a call for protest[2] from 1st December 2012 to 7th December 2012 demanding the Government of India to review the sesctions of the IT act including 66A (which deals with punishment for sending offensive messages through communication services etc.), as a minimum it should come out with clear Rules under the Act clearly limiting the scope of Section 66 A and others to be in conformity with the freedom of expression guaranteed under the Article 19 of the Indian Constitution.

Entire week time, with various forms of protest, no matter how big or small we can gather, we can send this government a strong message what as people of a democracy we need.

Lets unite our efforts and make it a fruitful one.

Hi,
People from Free Software Movement of India have called for protests
against certain sections of IT Law. They are planning protests from 1st
Dec to 7th Dec. Hope they (and we) have your support. While there seems to
be no details on venue and timings on their site (I have contacted them
for the details) it seems they want people to plan their own protests too.

If i get more details, will let you guys know.
