Re: [IAC#RG] Shanti Bhushan in Sanjay Dutt's Defence !

I have never said anything against Modi. If anything I have praised him. I have definitely criticised Baba Ram Dev,  because for me he is nothing more than a Yoga teachers and  certainly not a politician. He was there for the reasons of personal exhibitionism. and also to benefit the right wing party and got himself into serious trouble with the present administration. and is since then keeping a low profile. He may repeat his performance again  nearer the elections. when he will make a last ditch attempt to make his favourite party win. Beyond that it will be the end of his political ambition.  Devinder

I was not speaking about the politicians in general but about you; when you find it very  distasteful in maligning our political leaders, how it that you are indulging in similar exercise about Modi and Baba Ramdevji? Moreover we are not maligning your masters but only stating the facts as it appeared from the reports. And this is the reasonswhy we call you sycophant of the dynasty.

There is, no doubt, that the politicians throughout the world are required to have thick skins and broad shoulders. People do attack them especially those who oppose their views and policies. My experience is that the leaders are disliked for their political views and not their persons.

In India I find that we go to any length in maligning our political leaders  including scandalising  them for their very personal matters. This I find very distasteful. This goes for all the political parties which indulge in this sort of activity and the Congress or the dynasty should be no exception.  Devinder

It is said the cats drink milk with the eyes closed because it is said that they feel that people will not watch or see them drinking the milk; I have seen it as a cat lover. You want me to place my hand on my heart and say that people who share an ideology with me do not have an habit of attacking public figures personally with a view to malign them.
How can I say about the others? But can you say the same thing about yourselves leave aside about the others? Do you honestly feel that the dynasty is innocent anf people are attacking them unnecessarily without any proofs even though there are reports of Weakyleak and in other foreign magazines about their foreign deposits in millions of dollars? May be that you feel that since a person is deemed to be innocent unless he is proved guilty in a court of law he should not be attacked unless he is so proved in a court of law; But are ou doing or thinking the same about others especially about Modi or Baba Ramdevji when you try to mallign them? The why this selective choice about the dynasty?

I think I respect your decision not to enter into discussion with me because I lack capacity to understand but to call me a one sided or a sycophant of any dynasty is grossly unfair. I do not praise or promote any dynasty or non dynasty leaders,or political ideology. white, black or brown. I do defend them when I see that people are being unfairly attacked.or maligned.  Can you place a hand on your heart and say that people who share an ideology with you do not have the habit of attacking the public figures personally with a view to malign them.

Regarding Sanjay Dutt, please understand that  whether he gets a pardon or not, it has nothing to do with our justice system as it is a separate function of the State and is based not on law but on human considerations. It has to be said that one has to be guilty before one can ask for a pardon. You do not pardon an innocent person. At the same time ,as far as I know there is no provision in our legal system which would empower even  the highest  court of law to sit in adjudication over any kind of Presidential pardon.however it is granted. Devinder.

Aas I have stated it is beyond your capacity to understand it and it will simply entail in unnecessary debate without any end; as a sycophant of the dynasty you have lost the ability to know the truth having always tried to defend the dynasty without understanding the fatc or truth; if you are really interested, read the reports of that time impartially, to know the facts instead of relying on political one-sided reports.
As regards Sanjay Dutt, nobody says that it will a national disaster but surely it will be a mockery of justice the way the case was being treated.

Oh learned Sir, Please do explain to us  earthy mortals , the reason why people adored BalaJi Thackrey and the reason why is Sh. N Modi the darling of the masses. The context is the unequal delivery of the justice system  and why a pardon to Sanjay Dutt should be treated as a national disaster. Regards Devinder

Some people have the habit of never admitting reality. Did anybody ever agree or even confess what lead to the horrible Bombay riots.and the blasts that shattered Mumbai in end 1992 early 1993, following the destruction of the Babri Masjid.on December 6 1992.which killed 253 people and injured 713 more. not to talk about property worth thousands of crores destroyed.  The Srikrishna Commission report clearly indicted Shive Sena supremo Bal Thackrey and the then chief minister Manohar Joshi and Sena MP Madhukar Sarpotdar along with several other politicians and a long list of policemen for the horrific riots that killed 900 and injured 2036 more. The report says that "there was no doubt that the Shiv Sena and  Shiv Sainiks organised attacks on Muslims and their properties"And that Thakeray was the veteran general commanding his loyal Shiv Sainiks in this orchestrated sectarian violence.

It has been 15 years since the Srikrishna Commission report , none of its suggestions have been implemented nor even one of those indicted were punished. The police and politicians had been rewarded and Bal Thackrey the prime architect of the orgy of violence, remained a respected leader and got a state funeral when he died. Congressmen who lead the 1984 Sikh riots in Delhi  have also not been punished. Narindra Modi who was once believed to be the architect of 2002 massacre of Muslims in Gujarat is readying to become Prime minister. Do we see any double standards anywhere.

Unequal justice delivery hurts, angers and alienates communities. A country which takes pride in its secular credentials and rule of law and impartial judiciary is worried that if foolish Sanjay Dutt is granted pardon, it will mean double standards in our justice delivery.and a collapse of our social order.  Devinder Thakur

Some people have habit not to speak on the "facts" when provided and find some thing which is against Congress party culture. Basic fact is no Election for Congress Party President for the last nearly 15 years. It is still a "Democratic and Secular Decision".

In UK people who are the target of "Racism" say Racism is "Overt and Covert" amongst the British. Could that be applied to Muslims in India? It is any one's own intellect and biases.
Mohammed Ali Jinnah and Ali Brothers both were on the extreme ends of ideology initially BUT what happened at the end is evident in History. One does not need to be genius to understand it. Dr. Ambekar

Dear Mr Kumar You fail to mention the following:- In 1969 rioting Hindu mobs burnt down his Ehsan Jafri's house. he possessed weapons since that time. These wapons saved his life on several occasions. In 2002 after the Godhra incident, once again a mob attacked his house, this time a very large mob armed with knivces, swords, guns and gas cylinders to be used as improvised bombs blasted their way into his house.  4 hours of calling everywhere for help did not bring relief. The mob had full police support and computer printouts of voters lists. Recorded calls to the DGP of Police brought no assistance. In such cases of a State Sponsored elimination pogrom,  the minorities deserve to be armed with automatic weapons. If Jafri had these he would be alive today.Sarbajit

In 2002, Ehsan Jafri, a former MP from Gujarat faced a totally unknown riotous mob agitated over burning of 59 Hindu pilgrims in the Sleeper Coach a Godhra. Normally a peace loving man, Jaffri came out of the house and when the mob was shouting, instead of pacifying them, he took out his weapon and fired at the mob. The already agitated mob got into a frenzy an lynched him to death.

Unless absolutely necessary to protect oneself in situations of performing one's duties or extensive travels at untimely hours outside the populated areas, one should not carry the dangerous weapons and face situations where that might be used.
