In Mumbai cessed buildings are repaired by repairs board through Architect and contractor.
Architect Contractor and deputy engineer of repairs board are a team.
they give an estimate of less than 10 lacs, so that they don't have to go through e Tender process.
Thus that team gets the contract. Then Architect and contractor tell tenants that all repairs cannot be
done in that amount. if you contribute some amount i.e. 40% of additional estimate (say 5 Lacs.) they can get
60% from M L A fund. This is all unofficial. only cash payment, no receipt etc. and if contractor does not
do all repairs we cannot do anything.
CAN ANYONE STOP THIS CORRUPTION ?
