Dear Sh. . Roy/Diwan Singh
Diwan Singh,s Comments reveal the mindset of the Jat community n the recent agitation in Haryana and how they feel wronged extending the reservation benefit to Yadavs under the mischief played out by Yadav leaders of UP and Bihar i 1991. I am also of opinion that one person who has done maximum damage to social fabric of the country was V.P.Singh who during his short regime dusted the Old Mandal Commission Report and made it applicable just to keep himself in power. The other person is Pt. Nehru who agreed to re-organise States on linguistic basis. The country continues to suffer from effect of both these decisions.
But Diwan Singh knows that politics of U.P. and Bihar plays an insignificanct role in Haryana. Even BSP has not been able to make a dent in the State politics.
He also forgets that besides being a ruling class in some Sstates of Rajasthan,,they have also been ruling in Haryana after formation of the State in 1966. The 3 familis who have rules are of Bansilal, Devilal and Hooda except short stint of Bagwat Dayal Sharma in tbe begining and Bhajanlal later. During their rule of 45 years they had a complete monopoly of power and resources. It is not only the political hold but also bureaucratic hold even in areas south of Delhi. They have also significant presence in Armed forces of the country.
Yadavas in Haryana are confined to only 4 districts-Gurgaon, Rewari, Mohindergarh and part Faridabad and Jhajjar. This area has traditionally been backward and it is only now that there is some progress after spillover from Delhi. Rao Birendra Singh of Rewari and now Rao inderjeet singh in the Central Govt. are from Yadav community. The community has very small role in State politics.
There is no doubt, the recent agitation was politically motivated by the Jat leaders whether of INLD or congress camp. In my opinion they wanted to destabilise the Govt. of the Chief Minister who was picked up by modi to perhaps break the stronghold of Jat community. But the Chief Minister who is not a native of Haryana but only a resident after partition with no earlier experience of governance was ill-equipped to control the aagitation with a firm hand.
Saini has been provoking the Jat community. Whether it was Caste rivaliry or political instigation from higher up, it is difficulat to say. I do not think the P.M would get involved because he has far too many other problems to keep him on the toes.
For the present the chief Minister has bought peace b bringing in legislation but to push it through Parliament will not be possible. Ultimately it will meet the same fate that befell to congress legislation.
Finally since both Patels and Jats are aggreable either to extend or scrap OBC reservation, I strongly feel it should be scapped and folly of 1991 be set right.

Dear Diwan Singh
The fact of the matter is that Jats (a well to do community who
constitute around 28%of votes in Haryana) were WRONGLY given OBC
status in 2014 by Congress which was swiftly set aside by SC. The BJP
then promised them the joomla of "Constitutional amendment" to get
around the SC judgment, this resulted in Modi wave.
Like everything else of BJP, Modi turns out to be wearing Vijay
Mallya's discarded suits, boots and hats, and is the new king of
promising good times at public expense. No wonder Jats demanded their
pound of flesh. All these recent riots / looting / burning etc were
carried out by Jats and by nobody else.
PS: We all know very well WHO did not forcefully oppose Chauthala
parole from Tihar Jail, so he could be released on parole on 1 Feb
2016 and could promptly start touring / criss-crossing Haryana
agitating his traditional vote banks who were upset by INLD's neglect
and back-tracking.
If this list has to discuss anything, it should be whether ALL
RESERVATIONS and QUOTAS and LAL-BATTIS SHOULD BE SCRAPPED, or not.
