Re: [IAC#RG] Re Airtel demand for Aadhaar

01/6/17

Final word on AAHAr is still awaited from the Supreme Court'

The Govt. has been acting in a sly manner on this issue and persisting in forceing people to get AADHAR. The Govt. says there is no privacy law in India. Even on the fundamental right to life The A. G has contended it is not there  as an attempt to comit suicide is a punishable offence. . Also by bringing legislation as part of   money bill avoiding discussion in Rajya Sabha. Meanwhile they hve exempted 3 states from North East.

All mobile service providers have been asking for Aadhaar identity. Jio too requires it.

Can you please give the date/no./content of the SC ruling on Aadhar not being mandatory and compulsory?

Airtel is now demanding customers provide it for continued service. All banks are displaying signs at each counter to register Aadhaar nos. Or face ac shutdown.

Someone needs to stop this ploy of gov't.to hand our data to big global corps.
