Re: [IAC#RG] Fwd: [HRD] Boycott temples allowing Rahul Gandhi entry

Dear Mr. Roy,

Had made two very specific points.
Guess, both have rather been fairly squarely established.

To that extent, the campaign of calumny stands exposed for what it is.

I do not have any plan to go beyond that.
I'd only record, in passing, that it's awfully weird and laughable to
demand that I, of all persons, produce the *proof* that "Indira Nehru
(Hindu) and Feroze Gandhi (Parsi/Zorastrian) were lawfully married".
The demand, of course, is of a piece with the campaign of calumny.
That's all.

I, btw, am no ardent votary of the institution of "marriage".
It arose at a certail point of development of human society.
Has undergone many changes since then.
Polygyny, polyandry, child marriage etc are far less ubiquitous today.
While many Indian Hindus will consider "incest" a taboo, to be
practised only outside of marital bondage, for some it's still the
preferred form.
It varies, just not across time, but also across, social and physical, space.
It *may* even disappear with time.
Already, it has ceased to be the *only* form of legitimate conjugal
relationships in many societies.
