Re: [IAC#RG] RTI - Do we have the Right to Know Correct Date of Birth of Shri V K Singh?

Dear Mr. Sundaresan

The issue of VKS's dob is conclusively settled by the birth
certificate issued under the Registration of Births Deaths and
Marriages Act of 1886, a copy of which is in Gen VKS's possession, and
which is freely accessible under the said Act to anyone who cares to
apply for it.

I don't know on what basis you say that IAC believes in fighting
corruption by filing RTI cases. This is not at all true. RTI is only
one of the many tools used by IAC's corruption fighters.

Since there are many similarly confused persons on our list, I am
penning a series of short messages about IAC's ideology and posting
them to the list. These are simple action rules which will guide our
members in their own actions if they choose to use IAC's tried and
tested successful mantras.

These Action Rules will also be archived on the Indiaresists forum for
further UNCENSORED comments (open to registered members there).

Singh is already a settled matter.  There is no point in probing that matter again.  There are so many issues warrnant immediate action to root out corruption in the country.  We should devote our times only to chalk out plan of action how to eradicate corruption from the society.  The worst affected are only the poor and middle class.  To get the job done anywhere in our daily walk of life, there is corruption.

Under these circumstances, IAC's approach of filing RTI cases against corruption and expose them, how far, it will help to root out corruption is a million dollar question.

What is the remedy ? The only option left to us to defeat all the corrupt politicians when they contest elections.  But, IAC is against Political system and Democratic system of Govt.  IAC says that they believe in Democracy but not Political Democracy.  I am not able to differenciate between Democracy and Political Democracy.  Political system and Political Democracy are inseparable and one and the same. It is two sides of the Coin.   If IAC believe in Democracy, it has to accept Political System.  IAC belive in Democray but not Political system means it is hypocrisy.
