Mrs. Deepak Sandhu, Central Information Commissioner has imposed a penalty of Rs. 25000.00, too be recovered @ Rs. 5000.00 from the salary of Mr. B.S. Chadha, DSP EOW Chandigarh Police for not complying with the provision of the RTI Act 2005, on an complaint made by Brig. D.S. Grewal.

1. I am attaching Orders of the CIC in a RTI case filed by me with the EOW. Chandigarh Police. The IC (DS) has ordered a sum of Rs 25,000/- to be recovered from the erstwhile DSP EOW cum CPIO for failing to supply the information to me. The present incumbent has been directed to supply the supply specific point-wise information to the undersigned along with an affidavit to the Commission with copy to the Appelant that no further information is held by them pertaining to the issues raised in the RTI application.

2. The orders of the CIC on the Second Appeal related to my RTI application on Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting are expected shortly. The same too shall be forwarded for your
