Re: [IAC#RG] PRESS RELEASE. Death of Delhi's innocent gangrape victim.

The list "iac@lists.riseup.net is also part of the IAC movement. That list is primarily moderated by me and another moderator of the Humjanenge RTI mailing list. It is strictly moderated, and presently low traffic.

OTH, this list is directly under IAC's media team and is more free for all. As this list "indiaresists" is high traffic many emails are simply not circulated because to do so would cause the list's bandwidth/capacity to be exceeded. You may perceive this to be "censure", it is not.

To ensure that as many emails from our members can be circulated, all we are are asking for is some basic cooperation.

1) Please trim your emails ruthlessly and discard the previous emails when you reply.. We want to circulate your message not somebody else's old message 20 times - and which uses up our daily bandwidth..

2) Do not CC your message to other groups / mailing lists.  So many "private" conversations and arguments which are being carried out by members between themselves are not being published to our lists. The fact that the subject line has a [IAC++] or [IAC#RG] tag does not mean that it came from this group. We are very selective especially when we have many emails competing for limited slots..

3) Please keep your own emails focused and to the point. Long scholarly arguments either lead to flame wars or members unsubscribing.

4) India is still a democracy. If Mr Shafi Rehman, as journalist with IE and now identifying as an editor at India Today wishes to make a point (perhaps the same point Arundhati Roy makes regularly and unchecked in articles like this http://kanglaonline.com/2012/12/the-indian-army-and-the-police-use-rape-as-a-weapon-of-domination-arundhati-roy/), we must allow that point to be carried on a discussion on rape and the inevitable rebuttals also to be equally circulated. "Incidents" like Kunan Poshpora are still divisive in the Valley and its truth (or untruth)  is impossible to pin down. Ultimately its a political problem caused by decades of systematic dynastic misrule and corruption and its the Indian Army which gets the blame and is saddled with all those Specials Forces Acts which are the real targets of the HR brigades.

How many Groups are there in the name of IAC.There is nother group: iac@lists.riseup.net.

I am a bit confused.

How ever the latter has become a hunting ground for degrading our Army with baseless allegations. My replies go censured.I am forwarding an unpublished reply. Now another Rehman has written something nasty. If as you boast, you are the defender of the defenders,do publish it.Or keep me out of this group.
