[IAC#RG] Foreigners spying in GNCTD

To:

Shri Arvind Kejriwal,
Chief Minister of NCT Delhi

BY EMAIL

Dear Chief Minister,

I am constrained to inform you that while visiting the GNCTD website { http://delhi.gov.in/ } I discovered I was being tracked by a proxy for foreign intelligence agencies (which I describe and opine to be M/s Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway. Mountain View, CA 94043) who have somehow managed to widely implant their tracking codes in Delhi Govt official websites.

I am enclosing inline a sample snippet of Google tracking code found across GNCTD website pages

<script type="text/javascript">      var _gaq = _gaq || [];    _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-16389149-1']);    _gaq.push(['_setDomainName', '.delhi.gov.in']);    _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']);      (function() {      var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true;      ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? 'https://ssl' : 'http://www') + '.google-analytics.com/ga.js';      var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(ga, s);    })();    </script>

This is a major security / privacy breach and especially a threat to lives of all RTI activists and whistle-blowers who access GNCTD website. It may also constitute a breach of the .GOV.IN TLD security rules resulting in suspension of the GNCTD websites on suitable complaint.

Hence, as your well wishers, the Delhi Dialogue Commission hopes that you will personally direct all such tracking codes to be identified and deleted from GNCTD websites immediately and on top priority

sincerely
