MK Ganbdhi had boycotted the partition commission. He had also asked Congress leaders to boycott Crips Commission which had come to decide the conditions of partition. When MK Gandhi learnt that none of the Cong leaders had courage to boycott Crips Commission, he said "Had my Subhash been here at this moment of time, he would have instantly agreed to boycott the commission."
This proves that MK Gandhi and Subhash were very close on condition of independence.

साथ छोड़ा था तो वक़्त और वतन की जरूरत के लिए,
माना की भूख हड़ताल से, थर्राया था गोरों का शासन ,
आजाद हिन्द फ़ौज ने भी खून दिया, जम्हूरियत के लिए .
मकसद दोनों के एक ही थे , आजाद हो हमारा वतन,
दोनों तरीके जरूरी ही थे, अंग्रेजों के रुखसत के लिए .
संघर्ष किया था गाँधी ने 'पूर्ण स्वराज ' के नारों से ,
'दिल्ली चलो ' भी याद रहेगा आज़ादी की ज़दोजहत के लिए.
अन्ना ने है आस जगाई , देश में आएगी सुचिता ,
अरविन्द ने भी अलख जगाई, आम आदमी की हुक्कुमत के लिए.
