Dear Sri Suraj and My Other Friends in Indiaresists,

Thank you for your feedback.  I am repeatedly telling through this channel, that I am and most of my friends are not against Hindi.  My Brother in Law joined the British controlled Indian Army may be around 1940 as a Communication Staff.  When the Indian Army was advancing to fight with the Nazi Forces somehwere in Northern Province in the present day Pakisthan or Afganisthan, he was caught as POW and taken to Italian prison by walk folding/closing  his eyes for nearly a month.  After Independence, he was released in London and returned to India.  On reaching India, he again joined Indian Army in Ordinance School (Branch) posted in different places like Avadi (Chennai), Udhampur (Kashmir), Kanpur, Delhi, Jabalpur, Hyderabad and retired as a  Hon. Captain or Lt. ( I am not very sure about his last grade) after serving more than 25 years.   Eventhough he is from Tamilnadu because of Service in Army, he became very proficient in Hindi and there are so many people like this in Tamilnadu and elsewhere in the country.   My Sister picked up Hindi by conversing with the Hindi people and my Wife, who lived in North till her VIII Std., learnt Hindi in Schools,  speak very good Hindi.  Why I say, all these, to bring home the point, that necessity, opportunity, compulsions and environment make the non-Hindi speaking people to become very proficient in Hindi.  Whereas I had no such oppootunity.  So, I could not learn Hindi leave alone that there is no Hindi as a Subject in Tamil Nadu Schools.  

I reiterate onceagain, I am not against Hindi but at the same time, please whose Mother is Tongue is Hindi should also respect other languages and try to learn it in the interest of unity of the country.

Moving to other places for job or any other reason is basic to improve and enhance yourself , it could be education or job . Event backward state move to metro then punjabis too  move to canada , keralaian to dubai , tamilan and telugus to US .

I am from army background and move from jammu to keral , from manipur to rajhasthan . Pls don't say people don't know hindi , only deap south don't except as their local politics don't allow to learn and play politics .
