RE: [IAC#RG] Fw: [Right-to-Info-2005] Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi - Does Constitution of India Permit Mr SK Roy Chairman LIC Stop the Payment of Pension at his Whims & Fancy?

              To Whom It May Concern

If the claim Mr. B.D.Vaghela is making on this public forum, is true then the fight for justice will follow. Neither local, state or central government or LIC, have any right to intimidate a law abiding citizen. In addition, it does not matter whether Mr. Vaghela is a law abiding citizen or not LIC must satisfy its obligations as well basic duty to it's insured as per contract.

Dear Mr. Jha

Thanks for your email. I have perused it along with the trail mails
appended therein.

1) I had written to you as Honorary National Convenor of "India
Against Corruption" jan andolan - a social service body - after
receiving several emails from Mr. Babubhai Vaghela sent to me and
several other eminent persons whom Mr. Vaghela regularly corresponds
with. Mr. Vaghela is Hony. Chairman of IAC's sub-Committee on Ethics
in Governance

2) Mr. Vaghela is an eminent RTI activist of India. As a law abiding
citizen of India, he wants to know the RULE / basis under which his
pension was stopped without notice by a public authority, ie. LIC.
When no proper explanation was given by LIC, Mr. Vaghela was
constrained to write to the Hon'ble PM and to myself. If there is a
proper basis for seeking the Existence Certificate surely LIC can
provide Mr. Vaghela a copy of the notification or order.

3) There has also been a systematic series of attempts by
anti-national forces and foreigners to attack India Against
Corruption's senior leaders with a view to silence them. As a matter
of prudence IAC promptly reports all such incidents to the concerned
agencies for their record.

4) We hope that LIC shall properly justify to Mr. Vaghela its actions
so that his pension is resumed immediately. You shall find that Mr.
Vaghela is a cooperative personality and a Senior Manager of IOC who
had always stood by rules and regulations and working within the
system to ensure there are no leakages. At the same time senior
citizens should not be harassed unduly or made to run from pillar to
post.

Sincerely

Sarbajit Roy
