RE: [IAC#RG] Shanti Bhushan attacks Kejriwal again, accuses him of accepting 'tainted money'

One thing I believe is that getting elected by promises of giving free water electricity food house free money etc at cost of others are all by no means less than bribing. They see their own benefits for giving votes and if they don't get them with in a reasonable time can throw them. Governance is not promises. What we need is good governance which is not easy in a country where practically all are for their own interests. Some leaders give their people opportunities to make money to have their support by legitimate ways. Some may follow nonlegitimate ways if opportunity for legitimate ways is not there. Some may become followers for even for small favours. All above means utilising the power to divert benefits to those who give them votes.  Naturally some one else is a looser.
I wonder how our citizens of 21st century give support to such Gimmicks adopted by leaders to be in power. when some leader governs with great principles dispassionate without favouring any group and for the good of the country (hypothetical statement since in our country such leaders can't exist - so please moderate it as 'comparatively better.' ) considering even the others who have not given vote, will our selfish attitude allow them to be in power.  Everyone asks what good for me by such people in power. Recently we have seen two great victories. Let us see.  They have been brought to power for they promised to give something which suited majority . Will the promise given be met. Even if not met can they succeed to be in power some way or other.
Another important question is what happens to those minority groups who do not get benefited. Should they suffer for ever throughout their rule. Is it just? I don't really understand what we can expect from these leaders elected by citizens who are easily bought by promises. Better let us  hope for the best. We know our country is great and can grow at least in population the strength on which we are recognised by the world.  Verghese

Dear Mr. Kumar,
I am not being pessimistic but being realistic knowing the financial constraints and the outlays needed to achieve those targets.
I have been watching the progress of AAP since its inception hoping it to be a step closer to participatory democratic set up and have high expectations. There is no denying that Delhi needs more schools, colleges, hospitals Public toilets and bijli paani for the
rapidly increasing population. I  am only curious about the source of funds which you can raise either through taxation or c ental assistance. Delhi is not an exception suffering from these shortages. All metropolitan cities suffer from these shortages. Mumbai has much bigger population living in slums worse than the life in unautorised colonies of Delhi. But the people pay more for electricity and other civic services Kolkatta is equally in dire need of resources.
I consider Delhi elections as a watershed event and its success or failure will have far reaching consequences. It is for this reason I hope that AAP should have deliverable targets. For this reason I am looking forward to budgets the State and the Centre.

Dear Shri J K Gaur, Your sense of time is baffling as you are distributing our targets statistically. Believe in a positive future of Delhi residents with needed schools, hospitals, toilets, CCTV and Pani-Bijli. Do not get so pessimistic. AAP is a party of concerned and intelligent citizens. They are not professional politicians engaged in Jumlebaji. Regards, Anand Kumar
