Re: [IAC#RG] Reply: COMPLAINT : Why new RBI notes imply Hindi speakers are dirty people ?

Dear Major (Retd) Ravi

There are no slip-ups. everything is as I have described it.

1) The RBI has confirmed (as indeed they must) that their old notes will continue to be honored even beyond 31.Dec.2016 at select RBI offices.

2) My queries / complaints were doubtless by a member of the public to the designated email ID, but the RBI's reply is personal to me and cannot be divulged in its entirety as it shall create confusion on certain other aspects, especially to our subscribers from South India.

3) There is nothing fishy. I wish to keep RBI's reply confidential. However, my queries / grievance are known to you, and you can put the same independently to RBI at the same email ID.

Mr Sarbajit Roy,

A few slip ups in your mail:

1. Firstly, the 2nd issue for which you have thanked the RBI Gov- 'That exchange scheme for the OHD notes into other denominations will continue by RBI even beyond 31 Dec 2016.'- is questionable.

2. Part of the trailing mail in your e mail shows that the reply has been given to you by publicquery@rbi.org.in The question arises how can a response to a public query be confidential.

3. It is also seen that the reply from rbi states that RBI's CONFIDENTIAL REPLY CANNOT BE DISCLOSED TO PUBLIC. Of course there is no content in the form of confidential reply seen.

Overall, I smell something fishy here.
