Dear Mr Srinivasan, the cap worn by Hazare and Gandhi/ Nehru
etc has been erroneously labelled as the "Gandhi" cap. It has
NOTHING to do with Gandhi. This was/ is the cap worn by the
common man, in rural areas throughout Maharashtra for quite a
few centuries. There is no branding to it, but being a dress
of the common man. It is in use commonly even today.

Could you explain this sentence "his branded T Shirts has in a
sense torpedoed the constitution". There are no "branded" T
shirts. Hazare's name is NOT Anna. "Anna" in Marathi means
Elder Brother ... It is a name given to him by his village.

For what crime ?

There is a political party, using the tricolour as its symbol,
and flag. Not now, but for ages. Could something be done about
that first ? It is painful to see the tricolour lying all over
on roads and pavements, being soiled by dog litter after each
and every election major or minor. OTOH, flags being carried
by individuals becomes a case of "indiscriminate use" ?

Let us wait and see. Lower level bureaucrats are by no means
"poor" as of now, neither are any type of bureaucrat for that
matter, and neither are any of the politicians. What is the
basis for this surmise ?
