Now that the time limit set by the CIC is over,IAC should write similar letters to other political parties covered by the order. The Govt. has neither amended the Act nor made any other move officially.
There is no doubt the political parties have to be made accountable. Filing of returns with Tax authorities is an eye-wash. In effect the political party in power not only controls the CentralGovt. but also the Parliament. Similar control extends to State Govts. including Governors down to Municipal and Panchayat institutions. In effect Governance is through remote control and yet they are fighting tooth and nail to remain unaccountable.

Dear Sirs,
Request for Information under RTI Act.
I am constrained to inform you that despite perusal of AICC website
(aicc.org.in) and also several telephone calls to AICC telephone
numbers (23019080) etc. there is no clarity on who the Public
Information Officer of INC party is.
I could speak to office of Congress Party PR cell-in-charge (Shri.
Ajay Maken MP who is also my MP) who informed that Office of Shri
Motilal Vora (Treasurer INC)is dealing with the subject. On calling
Administration office of AICC (Tel:23017137) it was confirmed to me
that Shri Motilal Vora is seized of the matter but that AICC/INC has
no intention of submitting to RTI Act but that there is no stay order
/ ordinance as yet against direction of Central Information Commission
for INC to appoint its RTI setup by 15-July-2013
Accordingly, since nobody in AICC/INC is prepared to accept my RTI
request for information or to tell me to in whose favour I should make
out the Demand Draft of Rs. 10 application fee, please find below my
RTI query which I hope shall be answered expeditiously or within 30
days in any case.
I am always ready, able and willing to pay the prescribed fees under
RTI whenever called upon to do so.
Information sought:
1) Shri Rahul Gandhi (present Vice President of INC) was widely
reported in reputed newspapers like Times of India and Indian Express
etc as having stated on or about 14 April 2012 "I am a Brahmin...and
general secretary in the party" or suchlike. Kindly therefore inform
me as follows:-
a) If it is true that Shri Rahul Gandhi was General Secretary of the
party on 14.April 2012.
b) If it is true that Shri Rahul Gandhi was a Brahmin on 14.April 2012.
c) Provide me copies of all the supporting documents on basis of which
these claims / statements were made by Shri Rahul Gandhi. In the
alternative, the rejoinder, if any, to the newspapers concerned about
their reportage and its veracity.
d) Provide me the extract(s) from audited Account Books of INC party
to show that Shri Rahul Gandhi (senior office bearer of INC Party) has
been timely in depositing 1% of his annual income as required under
the published Rules/Regulations of the Indian National Congress Party.
Yours faithfully
