Re: [IAC#RG] Ref: Your email dated Jun 02, 2015.

To:
Shri Mangu Singh
CMD, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation

Dear Sir

Kind find below yet another foolish and evasive reply from your Customer Service Department. The India Against Corruption andolan takes strong objection to such replies from any public authority.

This kind of reply betrays the arrogant persons within your organisation who treat Indian citizens like cattle and turds. I wonder when you last traveled on your own metro rail service at peak hours as a normal passenger, or who was the corrupt person/s who approved/suggested single line operations on Mandi House-ITO section.

I am astounded to learn that your coaches are designed for a passenger density of 8pax/sq.m ie on a weight basis of 500 kg/m2. Do you forget we users of your system are humans and not COALS or CATTLE to be transported on a weight basis.

Can you deny that the same BOMBARDIER MOVIA rakes/coaches measuring 139m x 3 m (ie 6 coaches of approx 23mx3 m) for which you run at 8pax/m2 ie. 3,000 pax per rake are used to transport about 600 pax on the Shangai metro lines in same plan configuration. In Shanghai these MOVIA 6 coach rakes are configured for 288 seats and 310 standees as per Bombardier's website

It is very clear that DMRC is overloading its rakes by a design factor of 5 as compared to China. It is also not known on what anthropometric measurements DMRC has relied on to arrive at the figure of 8 pax/m2. Certainly your train / tunnel HVAC systems are inadequate to cater to such crush densities. The other medical basis of orthopedic, fatigue, stress, transmission of air-borne germs, fomites, etc for long distance standing travel is also dubious and a SAFETY HAZARD. Obviously Shri R.K Kardam CMRS is very well paid to overlook such corruption and to stick on as CMRS for so many years now.

The India Against Corruption movement would therefore appreciate a proper reply from a qualified senior officer of DMRC in reply to our complaint, instead of from such placebo replies from junior fools.

Kindly reply within 7 days with a proper and scientific reply as IAC does not suffer such disrespect lightly.

sincerely
