It is a well Known fact that Sri Mahesh joshi was an vehement aspirant to the post of Karnataka information commission , having Made Sever efforts to influence Karnataka CM Sri yedurappa through a well Known seer and other elders Who have influence on The CM and Obliges Them The News papers Speak that the Officer who is the PIO of prasrbharathi (DD) in Bangalore Failed to provide information in the mandatory Period and Also because the PIO had commented on the background of information seeker (said to be an D Group employee of DD. The Penalty imposed Has To be recovered in % instalments of 5000 each from January 2011.

Instead of Furnishing the information the PIO Sri Mahaesh joshi had made an countercomplaint that the Applicant Had made demands for money and Since he had not surrenderd to the Black mail tactics he had made the RTI in reference ,Sri mahesh joshi had also Sought clarifications From CIC Whether Persons Who Are blackmailing him can be given information under rTI . The PIO Mr Mahesh Joshi After all this Even when CIC had Directed him to part with information free of cost had demanded rs 50160/- and Hence In the hearing dated 29/11/2010 Had imposed penalty and Once again Directed that the applicant be provided information within two weeks .
We also have learnt that the Erring PIO Now penalised is Going to prefer an appeal with the High court under Writ Jurisdiction by utilising the services of govt pleader /advocate . the Govt advocate has in turn Has made letter to clarify whether the Writ jursdiction Lies on the CIC Orders with delhi high court or karnataka high court .
We expect some More details Along the Copy of Order in a day or two as It Is not Posted in CIC website . Media freinds are informing that another set of 14 Cases are pending With CIC For hearing against the Same PIO .
