[HumJanenge] General Superintendence of Mr Shailesh Gandhi in File:CIC/SG/C/2010/000001

To:
The Chief Information Commissioner of India
Central Information Commission at New Delhi

CC: IC Smt.Deepak Sandhu (for information)

BY EMAIL

Respected Sir

I am aggrieved by certain decisions delivered by Shri Shailesh Gandhi
acting independently, and which I believe require his superintendence
u/s 12 of the RTI Act.

I refer to the news story published today in Times of India New Delhi
titled as "Blooper on site leaves CIC red-faced". The URL to which is
here [ http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Blooper-on-site-leaves-CIC-red-faced/articleshow/11333410.cms
]. The story refers to decisions by IC Smt Deepak Sandhu, which were a
follow up to a series of complaints disposed of by IC Shri Shailesh
Gandhi in a most irregular manner including where Mr Gandhi directed
IIT-Kharagpur to provide airplane tickets to one Prof V.C.Vivekanand
and then proceeded to exonerate him without properly recording the
evidence against him.

It is indeed a matter of grave concern to all RTI stakeholders that
the website of the Commission is not properly maintained. In
particular I am pained to find that the link to Mr. Gandhi's decision
dated 28.May.2010 in the above case number has been removed, and the
decision is now rendered as not easily accessible on CIC website, and
which decision would conclusively demonstrate the shocking state of
affairs and mismanagement in Mr Gandhi's Registry.

Considering the aforesaid new item today, I request the Hon'ble
Commission to kindly enquire into the great delay by Mr Shailesh
Gandhi's Registry in transferring the files pertaining to Dr. Rajeev
Kumar's cases to IC (Deepak Sandhu), so that the blame is apportioned
in the correct Registry and the Commission assumes collective
responsibility for its actions and if a rejoinder to this mischievous
news story is not issued.

yours faithfully

Sarbajit Roy
