MINISTRY PAID TRIBUTE TO MRS. INDIRA GANDHI ON HER BIRTH DAY

An advt. in Hindi was published by the Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises on 19^th Nov. 2011 paying tribute to Mrs. Indira Gandhi, former Prime Minister on her birthday. The advt. stated "Sharandajali, Indira Gandhi……….. ki punya tithi par kritagya rashtra kaa shat-shat naman (19^th November 1917 – 31 October 1984". However, English edition of the advt. was perfect. I sent an RTI application to the CPIO of the Ministry which was delivered on 23.11.2011 asking interalia amount incurred on the faulty advt.; action taken or proposed against the erring officials and name of the officer who approved the advt.  After about one month, the application was returned to me stating that the Postal Order is not acceptable since it is not payable to PAO (MSME), New Delhi.  (Pay to Column was left blank). I sent the duly filled IPO and application again on the next day which was delivered on 27.12.11.

 

          Today on 30.1.2012, I received letter dated 06.01.2012 by ordinary post from Shri Harish Anand, Director (Publicity) stating that the information is being gathered and it will be provided to me as soon as it us gathered.  Even the available information with the Accounts Deptt. of the office has not been sent in utter disregard of the time limit for the 30-day. I have not been informed about the transfer of my application u.s. 6(3) of the RTI Act to the concerned PIO.  I understand that all the information may be available at the Head Office, New Delhi since the advt was circulated by DAVP.
