Dear Major Upadhyaya

Firstly, Each and every public servant is accountable to their masters - We the people of India, and Vice President is no exception.

Secondly, if the newspaper report in Times of India is correct then the Vice President is opposed to the singing of the National Anthem Jana Gana Mana and he must certainly explain why.

Thirdly, Bande Mataram is not the national song and it was never the national song of India. The first 2 verses were adopted as a song of the Congress party in 1937 only after Subhas Bose and others of the garam dal walked out. It is very well known to all true patriots, and I hope you don't deny it, that the slogan Bande Mataram (the slogan of the violent struggle against the 1905 partition of Bengal) was actually stolen/misappropriated for satyagraha by the foreign sponsored naram dal of Congress party and promoted by Gandhi to turn us into a nation of non-violent sheep.

Fourthly, I am sure that you know that Bankim's poem Bande Mataram is a deeply patriotic, complex and moving poem deeply cherished by all true patriots and can only be understood and acted upon by "Sanyasis" who are least concerned by this material world and are prepared to face death with the cry of Bande Matarm on their lips. It is therefore a criminal waste of this divine hymn to expose the common sheep-like satyagrahist people of Bharat to such a powerful work unless they are prepared and composed for revolution.

Fifthy, and I say this with great humility, only scholarly Bengali Brahmin patriots can fully understand the history of Jana Gana Mana and Bande Mataram which have been perverted and distorted by outsiders to suit foreign interests inimical to Bengal who want to keep the Bengali people divided.

Why should any one explain to you the conduct of the Honourable Vice President of India ? In what way is he answerable to you for his speeches?

The Mayor of Meerut has stopped the singing of national song Vande Mataram and restored the singing of national anthem Jana Gana Mana...
Nothing wrong with that as per business rules of the local body. Both the national anthem and national song are sung in parliament of India every day of the session.

Thus it becomes a political issue.

If the Indian V.P. comments on any issue. His views need to be respected. Agreeing or disagreeing with his views is your prerogative, Sir ji.

As per news report like those appended, a newly elected BSP (Bahujan Samajwadi Party) mayor in Uttar Pradesh has restored the singing of the National Anthem (Jana Gana Mana) before commencing meeting business of the Meerut Municipality Board

However, our Hon'ble Vice President is apparently insulting our national anthem by comparing the compulsory singing of India's national anthem (Jana Gana Mana) to praising of Afzal Guru. Can somebody explain this bizarre anti-national approach of our Hon'ble VP for me.  Is there something we are missing ? Is there some misreporting in the media of our VP's observations ?
