Quoting from Swadneen Kshatriya, Municipal Commissioner:

 

[1] The BMC has discovered 5,000 wells

 

[2] 700 unauthorised connections have been removed and 324 booster pumps confiscated

 

[3] 104 FIRs were lodged

 

[4] 250 MLD {Million Litres per Day} of recycled water, which is being let into the sea, can be lifted by Tankers for non potable consumption. 

 

[5] Suburbs like Ghatkopar and Versova where 150 MLD of Sewage water after primary treatment, would be excellent for Gardening

 

[6] If all proposed projects are implemented, then the water needs of the city would be met till 2025.

 

[7] A study was being conducted, for the water from Morbe 

 

[8] The BMC has planned high profile Awareness & Incentive programmes across Maharashtra, including Eco Housing Exhibitions 

 

[9] The Government will give incentives for Eco Housing, where less electricity and water is used and more trees planted
