[rti_india] Recall of medals from convicted police officers

It is a tiny, but positive, step forward.
However, not only those convicted, but also those absconding / evading justice, even those chargesheeted should have their medals revoked.  I would say that the HM / States should go the whole hog and invoke the provisions of Summary Dismissal.  The law and provisions need to implemented in a far more stringent manner against the powerful and mighty (including politicians and judges), because the country and its citizens depend upon them to set the right example and uphold the constitution, without which democracy is a sham.
We have not heard much about the other police / burecratic officers that colluded and/or were accessory to the crimes visited upon the Ruchica family.  The entire chain needs to be made an example of in an exemplary demonstration.
One hopes the media will bunch together 10 or 20 such examples from all over India and build the momentum for remidial actions and hope.
