Re: [rti_india] An Apology

Hi

Please excuse the top post, i am resubscribed , just recently and am sure folks would have read the below two mails so am taking the easy way out of not trimming and top posting

Thanks Sarabjit, for your redressing the issue and helping bring this RTI list to its main focus.

Am not much of an RTI person but at the end of the day all of "us" liberal, humane, conscious and active people need to do not just the right thing but be willing to stand up be counted and fight for it.

RTI is one mechanism and knowing how to use it well and for the right purpose is important and essential.

Am quite happy to have been invited back to the list , so hopefully will not miss out on future action here.

regards to all

Sarbajit,

It is really commendable for you to accept the mistake and apologize.

My friend Ramnarayan.K had pointed out that a previous post of mine where I said "the more RTI activists are shot the better" was unacceptable and below the lowest of belts.

I agree with him in-toto, and apologise to him and every other member who was so offended. I also greatly respect the fact that Ram voted with his feet and took affirmative action to reset this group (and its moderator) to our original agenda of being India's most effective and genuine RTI group.

Thanks Ram

Sarbajit
