Dear Sir / Madam,

Rashtrotthan Sankalp (RASTR) has carried out a study of the issue of beggary and a Audit of the Beggary Relief System, particularly as provided under the Karnataka Prohibition of Beggary (KPB) Act, 1975. The study, which started in 2008, has taken about 2.5 years to gather, compile and analyse the information from various agencies. The study involved intense use of the Right to Information (RTI) Act and field-work.
Rashtrotthan Sankalp will release the report of the Audit on 24-July-2010 (Saturday) @ 11:00 am in a Media Conference @ the Bangalore Press Club. We request you to participate in the event and give special coverage in your esteemed publications to the findings of the Public Audit. Associates of RASTR would be pleased to answer queries from the Media. The release of the report is a step in the efforts of RASTR to move the Government and the Public to create awareness, and bring in reforms and changes in the Beggary Relief System and Social Security in the Country.

Jai Hind!
